Sachin’s cricketing career spanned 24 (1989- 2013) years during which he created numerous records.
His cricketing journey started when he was introduced to this sport by his brother Ajit Tendulkar who played a major role in making Sachin a legendary cricketer.
His brother noticed his talent for hitting the ball naturally and took him to Ramakant Achrekar who trained Sachin in his early days. Ramakant Achrekar was really impressed with his dedication and hard work.
Sachin soon made his place in the Bombay team for the U-16 squad where his performance impressed the selectors and was soon selected for the U-19 squad.
Sachin was selected for the national team in 1989 when he was only 16 years old to play against Pakistan. His initial start was not good, but this didn’t demotivate him and he gave more time to improve his game.
