After getting married DVV shifted to Madras by going against everyone’s decision and went on to join the team of Jandhyala. In Jandhyala’s team, he worked on films like Rendu Rellu Aaru and later moved on to his favourite department in the film industry by debuting into film production.
He became a very close friend of E. V. V. Satyanarayana as they both worked in several films. As EVV climbed a stair of success by becoming a director, Danayya friendship helped him collaborate with him where he produced the fantasy comedy film Jamba Lakidi Pamba in 1993 which was directed by EVV Satyanarayana. It became a super hit among the audiences depicting what are the outcome when the female and male genders are reversed.
In 1998 under EVV he produced a Maavidaakulu film which earned average revenue. He went on to produce his next film in the year 1999 named Samudram which made an average revenue.
His next project was a remake of a Malayalam film Kottaram Veettile Apputtan renamed Manasunna Maaraju which was given direction by Muthyala Subbaiah. The film was released in 2000 and turned out to be commercially successful.
